Q. How do I join?
A. Joining the Free Nation Foundation is easy. All you have to do is take part in discussions by signing up on the forums and/or the wiki, join the discussions on our irc channel, or any combination of the three.

Q. What are you trying to do?
A. Our aim is to encourage cooperation between the different people and movements that believe in establishing independent nation-states based on the ideal of individual freedom. We believe that they all have ideas and experience that could benefit the free nation community as a whole. While The Pirate Bay’s effort to buy the micronation of Sealand failed, it showed that there is an enormous population of people from around the world who believe in the free-nation movement and are prepared to support it. We are trying to bring these people together and make that goal a reality.

Q. Aren’t you trying to create your own independent nation-state?
A. Not anymore. While the FNF was originally itself a micronation movement, its purpose has been redefined. The new FNF is now a community focused on supporting all free nation efforts and facilitating communication between them.

Q. Do I have to participate on irc to be part of the FNF?
A. No, but it is highly recommended. While much of the debate on the FNF takes part on the forums, irc is where most of the serious discussion and planning gets done.
